Before leaving the depot, the driver will carry out routine checks to ensure the tanker is in full working order to make the deliveries. If the driver notices a fault with the vehicle, they will not drive it due to safety regulations. This may result in deliveries being delayed.
Another cause for failure is a tanker breakdown while the driver is out on their scheduled route. This could be a blown tyre or mechanical fault
If your delivery is unsuccessful due to this issue your supplier will liaise with us so that we can keep you updated and advise you of your new delivery date, this date should be no more than 5 days of the original ‘on for before’ delivery date.
