Once your monitor has been received via our courier service, it is easy to install.

If your tank has an existing monitor this can be swapped for your new Connected monitor.
Most plastic tanks have a monitor mounting point ready for a monitor to be installed on to. Simply remove the cover on the mounting point and the monitor can be installed.
Prepare the mounting point
Many tanks already have a monitor mounting point.
This is located on the top of your tank and resembles the shape below.
Remove the existing cap – it will likely be secured with two screws.
If no new or previous mounting point is visible, then a small hole will need to be drilled on to the tank for the installation, in this instance we would recommend booking a professional engineer installation for just £75 incl. VAT.Provide a dip read
Dip a suitable stick (garden canes are good) through the mounting point into the tank until it touches the bottom.
Take the stick out of the tank.
Measure in mm from the bottom of the stick to the top of the oil level (this will be a different colour).
Scan the QR code on the side of the monitor to input the dip reading. Alternatively, email the measurement to connected@boilerjuice.com. Remember to state whether you have measured in cm or mm.
Install the monitor mount
Remove the collar from the bottom of the BoilerJuice monitor – it will screw off.
Place the rubber seal on the tank so it lines up with the mounting point.
Place the collar on top, and secure to the tank using the two screws provided.
Mount the monitor
Feed the weight on the bottom of the monitor cable through the hole into the tank, so that the weight is dangling in the tank or resting on the bottom.
Place the monitor on top of the collar.
Turn the monitor to screw it into the collar to secure it.
Activate the monitor
Press firmly on the stylised button on the front of the monitor and hold button for 3 seconds, until the green light flashes.
Once activated, the red light will start to flash, gradually slowing down.
When connected to the network, the device will flash green again to confirm.
If the light continues to flash red but never flashes green, please contact us at connected@boilerjuice.com and we will investigate for you.
Installed! What happens next?
We’ll start monitoring your oil level immediately.
Your first reading will be visible on the app within 48 hours.
When your oil level drops below 35%, we’ll automatically place an order for you, using the credit saved up from your monthly payments. We always compare suppliers in your area to get you the best price on every order.
